I love the strange collectibles, this one fits the bill.
I saw this on craigslist, the ad reads,
“I have a Janis Joplin ceramic music box (by Vandor) for sale. It’s new in box including bubble wrap. MINT condition even box is in mint condition. Something like this is on ebay for $600 (buy it now).
The only one I could find like this was sold on ebay in 2007. This is a music box and is different than the link above, but looks almost the exact same.
This is a replica of Janis Joplin’s psycodelic 1960′s classic 356 C Porsche cabriolet. It is a music box that plays her classic song “Mercedes Benz” when wound up. ” Oh lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz, my freinds all drive Porsches, I must make a menz”
