Porsche 9ff GT9-R, dangerous and fast, crashed

It should be no surprise to old school Porsche-philes that the 9ff GT9-R was re-configured in a certain way to achieve top performance. The brains at 9ff decided to position the engine in a mid-engine format for better weight distribution. Historians will re-call another mid-engined Porsche, Porsche number 1.

While trying for the speed record the 9ff GT9R number 0 was crashed at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground circuit, in Leicester UK. The car made it to 217 mph and lost it, ending up in the dirt.
We will have to see what the guys at 9ff come up with out the tragedy, probably something even more bad-ass.
