Porsche News Bits Brought To You By Unobtanium Inc

Porsche Makes Historic Nod for 2010

This looks like a cool addition to the uber-rare. Porsche is producing just 250 examples of the 911 “Sport Classic,” a slick throwback to the original RS. It debuted in Frankfurt, along with the news that there will be no (as in zero) examples for the North American market. Bummer. But check out the Fuchs and ducktail! For all of you who complain about models like the Cayenne diluting the Porsche marque, remember that all those women driving to soccer practice give Porsche enough extra cash to build things like this. — Matt

Super 90 Cab on EBAY, may be the earliest one

I just put a very rare car on EBAY. It is the 2nd Super 90 cab ever to leave the factory and may well be the earliest S90 cab in existence.

UPDATE:
This car is sold and en route to the Netherlands.

Check it out on EBAY:

Ski Roundtop Swap Meet 2009

This year the weather was great and Big John and me were the first ones at the swap. Turnout was not as good as last year, but everyone who came had a great time. There were some cool 356s there too!

Strange company for a 911 SC

We were sending a 911 SC back to the Motherland, Germany yesterday and it was a little weird. I kept expecting zombies to come out of the strange limo. It was a bit surreal.

356 ad in Newsweek

As if my life was not confusing enough, the new issue of Newsweek was on the kitchen counter. I saw the 356 and thought my new Registry issue had arrived. Nope, it was just a cool Porsche ad.

Strange Hotel Stuff

All you have to do is look at this picture, and know that something is wrong. While on the road to pick up a cool car, we had breakfast by the pool, it was kind of cool, but a little weird too.

Speedster at Brew Thru

While vacationing at the Outer Banks of NC I saw a Speedster. It was on the sign for the drive through beer place, for those lazy drunks who can’t even get out of their cars.

I see Speedsters everywhere!!

Our own National Park!

It is not every day you get to visit your very own National Park. But today The Wright Brothers got to visit their own park, The Wright Brothers Park in NC. It might not have been the same Wright Brothers but it was still cool.

The lady in the gift shop thought that I was way out of line to ask for a family discount!
