Very cool FA Porsche chair

I was antique shopping yesterday with my wife and saw this very cool FA Porsche chair from 1985. While it would make a great addition to the collection, the price tag of $5700 was a little rough. But a very cool chair it was.

Great Video for Early 911 Fans

I know this has been passed around already, but for those who haven’t seen it, this is an amazing video about the 901. It’s nice and long, with gobs of rarely seen early factory footage, Frankfurt Auto Show film footage, and other video bits. Lots of great vintage material here. It’s so worth a look I wanted the link to have a permanent home here. So here it is: http://www.911serie0.magix.net/website#9 — Matt

Almost a 356, a Fiber Fab Avenger

I saw this on criagslist and thought it might be something. The seller claimed it was built on a 356 chassis in the 60s and was built to race. All I could tell from the pics was it had a 356 motor, but not much else. I bought it sight unseen and it arrived this morning from the coast of Florida.

Unfortunately, it is not built on a 356 chassis, but it does have a 356 motor. The car is in nice shape and looks like it was never really finished. We are going to bring it into the shop this week and see what we can make of it.
It is always a risk when you buy cars from far far away, but at least this one was a cool one.

Are those Rudge, or fudge?

Picked these up at Ski Roundtop, almost like Rudges, right?

They remind me of when I was in college at UGA and Kim Basinger’s sister lived down the street from a friend of mine. The sister was older and had aged like a normal person, not a hollywood person, but if you drove her house real fast and kind of squinted your eyes, it was almost like you were looking at Kim Basinger in her Daisy Dukes, doing her yard.

So if you see my car go by real fast, you might think they were Rudge wheels.

Thanks to Charlie White, I have a copy of the original ad for these cool Fudges.
